The Mike Brown Band plays at many weddings each year, so we have a lot of experience providing the entertainment to make your big day extra special. We can play for just the evening reception, or provide other options as listed below. If you have any questions, please contact us

For the evening reception, we would usually start by playing for the bride & groom's first dance, going into a sophisticated swing and big band set, followed by a selection of classic and current pop hits for those who want to dance and party.

If you have particular preferences about the style of music you would like us to play, we will of course do our best to accomodate your wishes. In addition, if there is a specific song that you would like us to play for your first dance, ask us - if we don't already play it, we may be able to add it to our repertoire if given enough notice.

© Media Fizz We normally play for a total of two hours during the evening reception - either as two 1-hour sets, or as three 40-minute sets, whichever best fits your requirements. We can also offer a full DJ service if required, meaning we can supply all the entertainment for your evening reception in one easy package.

Perhaps you'd like to consider a reception set while the bride, groom and guests arrive and mingle. This can be outside during the summer (weather permitting), and the music could include pop or swing selections from our normal library, or a selection of other music :

Alternatively, we can provide a string quartet or clarinet quartet to perform the reception set, giving a different atmosphere for your guests.
