Booking the Mike Brown Band

If you are interested in booking the Mike Brown Band for an event, we suggest you contact us as early as possible. We are often booked well in advance, so the sooner you are in touch with us the more likely it is that we will be available on your preferred date. Also, check the availability page for dates that we are already booked, up to a year ahead.

The initial information we will need to start discussing arrangements and costs for your event is listed below. If you can supply as much of this information as possible when you first contact us, it will mean we can respond to you more quickly and accurately. If you don't have final details of the event, don't worry - just supply as much information as you can at the time. (We don't give quotes online because every event is different, and pricing will depend on your exact requirements).

Information we will need :

• The date of your event (or a selection of possible dates)
• The location of your event - if you don't have a venue booked yet, then at least the town or area.
  (We are based in East Yorkshire, and transport & travel costs will affect the final quote)
• Start and finish times of the event, and what sort of times you would want the band to play.
  (See below for an idea of a "normal" performance)
• Whether you will be booking other entertainment (e.g. a DJ), or will need us to provide recorded music when we are not playing.
  (We can play our own selection of music, or you can provide CDs, Minidiscs or MP3s of music you would like played)
• Where you heard about the band.
  (e.g. recommendation, saw us at another event, etc.)
• Contact details - daytime and evening phone numbers, and full postal address if you want us to send you brochures and / or demo CDs.

Our "usual" performance would consist of either two 1-hour or 3 40-minute spots spread throughout the event, finishing at or before midnight. Shorter or longer performances, backing music for meals, reception sets and later finishes can all be arranged if required. Also, all timings will be specifically agreed to fit in with the schedule of your event.

If there are any pieces of music you particularly want played (e.g. for a wedding first dance), then please let us know as soon as possible. We have a large library of music available, and given sufficient warning will do our best to accomodate any requests, but it can take time to find, arrange and rehearse new pieces so that they meet our usual high standards.

Finally, remember that we perform at a wide range of events at all sorts of venues on a regular basis. We will use this experience to help you to get the very best out of your particular event, and are happy to advise on most aspects of the entertainment if required. Just ask !
